Day: 1 A day in Dal Lake

Srinagar is the capital of Jammu Kashmir. Srinagar is famous for picturesque scenery. People love to visit Srinagar in summer. As it is in the Himalayan range, the temperature is cool in this season.

Dal Lake is named “Jewel in the crown of Kashmir. The most famous thing is the Floating Garden and Shikara ride. The floating gardens are known as “Rad” is not only famous in India but also in the world.

Note: Shikara charges are extra.

Day: 2Visit Pahalgam

After having breakfast, transfers are made to commute to Pahalgam. Pahalgam is a small town 95 km away from Srinagar. It takes around 2 hours to reach Pahalgam.

Places to visit in Pahalgam

Betaab Valley: This valley was formerly known as Hagan Valley or Hagoon. After the shooting of Bollywood Blockbuster movie “Betaab”  Valley is known by the name of the movie. Tourists enjoy green meadows, glittering rivers, and lakes, snow-clad mountains.

Sheshnag Lake: There is only a trek route to reach this lake. It comes en route to Amarnath yatra. As per myth, Lord Shiva had left Sheshnag in this place as he was busy to discuss undisclosed truth of eternal life with Goddess Parvati. Local people believe that Sheshnag himself made this lake and started living here and he still lives here.

Mini Switzerland: Baisaran has a green carpet of dense pine forest with snow-capped mountains in surrounding gives a view as same as Switzerland. There is a long green meadow snuggled in the lap of the Himalayas.
In the evening, come back to the hotel.

Day: 3Gulmarg – Ski destination

After having breakfast, proceed to Gulmarg. Gulmarg is a small hill station, well-liked for ski activities. There are lots of activities to do in Gulmarg. It’s famous for ski, Gondola ride, etc. The gondola ride is a cable car through which one can see the mesmerizing natural beauty of Himalayas.

In the evening, repose in the hotel.

Day: 4Srinagar Local Sightseeing

After having breakfast, enjoy the local sightseeing of Srinagar.

Shalimar Garden: It is known as the Crown of Srinagar. It is made by Mughal  Emperor Jehangir. It is situated on the right bank of Dal Lake. Its original name was “Farah Baksh” which means delightful.

Nishant Garden: It is also located on the bank of Dal Lake. It is on the eastern side of Dal Lake. It is the largest terraced Mughal Garden in the valley of Kashmir. It is known as the “Garden of bliss”.

Chashme Shahi: It is the well known Mughal Garden in the valley of Kashmir. It is also known as “Chashma-i-Shahi” which means the Royal Spring.

Stay a night in the Houseboat. Houseboat offers the traditional Kashmiri style living arrangement with the vision(view) of Lotus Lake- The Dal Lake. Houseboat gives an extraordinary experience in which people have joy in the living style of Kashmiri with the view of Dal Lake.

Day: 5Say Bye to Kashmir

Now it’s time to pack luggage to come back to the home. It’s very hard to leave such a pleasant environment. The scenic beauty, panoramic views never let you leave the place. No one wants to leave a heavenly place like Kashmir.
